CHOI, Hannah Hanbiel

Hannah Hanbiel Choi was born in 1982 in Seoul, South Korea. She completed her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees at Yonsei University. She then continued her studies in Germany, where she earned a diploma from the Hochschule für Musik Berlin "Hans Eisler" and a concert examination certificate from the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln.

Choi received first prize at the International Composition Competition 2010 in Luxembourg. Her works have been performed at several international music festivals, including the Beethoven Festival Bonn and the International Summer Courses for New Music in Darmstadt. She served as composer-in-residence with the Hwaum Chamber Orchestra.
