Rongrong Chen is a contemporary composer, pianist, music theorist, and educator, born in 1998. She earned a bachelor’s degree in composition from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2020 and a master’s degree with distinction in composition from the University of Oregon in 2023. She also teaches piano, composition, and music theory. Unfinished Music Studio & Maker Space
Her work X morceaux mystérieux (2021), a six-movement composition inspired by paintings of René Magritte, was performed by the San Francisco Conservatory’s New Music Ensemble in 2022.
