CHEN, Audrey

Audrey Chen is a Taiwanese-American experimental musician, composer, cellist, vocalist, and electronic artist, born outside Chicago in 1976. She began cello at eight and voice at eleven, later training in early and contemporary music. Since 2003, her work has focused on improvisation and extended techniques for voice, cello, and analogue electronics.
Her projects include solo performances and collaborations such as BEAM SPLITTER, MOPCUT, and a long-running duo with Phil Minton. Her releases include Glacial, The Gratitude of Sediment, Runt Vigor, By the Stream and Split Jaw.
