Notes:

Caroline Chelu was a composer and piano teacher active in Paris around the turn of the twentieth century. Very little biographical information about her survives, but the Bibliothèque nationale de France preserves dozens of her published scores, mainly short Romantic pieces for piano.
Her works include Printemps fleuri (1889), Retour des hirondelles, Op. 5 (1890), Le nain jaune (1890), Cajolerie (1902), Dans l’infini (1902), Aube naissante (1902), and Rayon d’azur (1903). Dedications such as “à mon élève” and “à ma petite élève” also indicate that she taught piano.
