Elizabeth Rundle Charles (1828–1896) was an English writer, poet, translator, and hymn writer. She wrote and translated numerous Christian hymns and devotional texts, contributing significantly to nineteenth-century English hymnody. Her work reflects the close relationship between poetry, religious expression, and music, and several of her texts were set to music and used in worship.
