Miss Chambers was a British woman composer active in the early nineteenth century. Very little biographical information about her appears to survive, and she is identified in bibliographic sources only by her surname and title.
She is associated with a publication entitled Simple Ballads, issued around the 1830s. The sparse surviving documentation reflects a broader problem in the history of women composers, where works were often published under incomplete names such as “Miss” or “Mrs.” followed by a surname, making later identification difficult
