Claudia Cervenca is a Romanian-born composer, experimental vocalist and performance artist based in Austria since 1990. She studied jazz and voice in Vienna and later electroacoustic composition at the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz. Her work focuses on free improvisation, extended vocal techniques, electroacoustic music and experimental performance, combining voice, noise, spoken word, invented language and poetry. She has performed widely in contemporary and experimental music festivals and received composition funding from the Austrian Federal Chancellery in 2017.
