CERBERVILLE, Gabrielle

Gabrielle Cerberville is an American composer, interdisciplinary artist and sound designer born in Sleepy Hollow, New York. She studied composition at Butler University and Western Michigan University and is pursuing a Ph.D. in Music Composition and Computer Technologies at the University of Virginia. Her work combines acoustic and electronic music, graphic notation, multimedia and site-specific sound, often exploring relationships between humans, plants, fungi and natural ecosystems. Her compositions and interdisciplinary projects have been presented in the United States and Europe, and she has participated in numerous artist residencies and new-music festivals.
