CELLETTI, Alessandra

Alessandra Celletti is an Italian pianist and composer born in Rome. Classically trained at the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia, she developed a distinctive musical language centred on the piano and influenced by minimalism, contemporary classical music, electronic experimentation and the avant-garde. Her compositions emphasize melodic clarity, silence, resonance and subtle changes in harmonic colour. Her principal works and albums of original music include Overground (1997), Chi mi darà le ali (2006), the solo-piano cycle The Golden Fly (2007), Way Out (2008), Sketches of Sacagawea (2010), Above the Sky (2013) and Ultraminimal Piano Essence (2024). She has also composed collaborative projects with electronic musicians Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Mark Tranmer and created music for film, dance and multimedia productions.
