CECCONI-BOTELLA, Monic

Monic Cecconi-Botella was a French composer whose extensive output includes chamber and orchestral music, vocal works, multimedia compositions and music for the stage. She studied composition at the Paris Conservatoire with Jean Rivier and Henri Dutilleux and received the Premier Grand Prix de Rome. The voice and musical theatre occupy a particularly important place in her work. Her operas include Noctuaile, Il signait Vincent… and La Femme de l’Ogre, alongside children’s operas such as Operaclown, Pirlipipi and Le Triangle de cristal. Noctuaile received the Grand Prix of the Académie du Disque français et du Film musical.
