Tamara Caucheteux is a Belgian composer, pianist and music educator born in the province of Liège. She began studying piano at the Académie de Spa and continued her musical education at the Conservatoire de Verviers and the Royal Conservatory of Liège. There she earned qualifications in piano, piano accompaniment and music education, as well as first prizes in solfège and written harmony. She later completed a specialised master’s degree in classical composition and writing under Marcel Cominotto.
Her published music is centred on contemporary vocal and chamber repertoire. Her works include Spirale for saxophone and piano, L’eau et les rêves for soprano and piano, setting poetry by Stéphane Mallarmé, Paul Éluard, Paul Valéry, Charles Baudelaire and Émile Verhaeren, and De sable et de poussière for clarinet and bassoon or bass clarinet. Her experience as a pianist, accompanist and chamber musician is closely connected with her compositional work.
