Marietta Leite de Castro was a Brazilian pianist and composer active in Rio de Janeiro. In 1902, when she was reported to be seventeen, she entered the piano course at the National Institute of Music. That year the magazine A Estação published her waltz for piano Ciciar da Brisa, noting that she had already composed several other pieces. Contemporary press reports document her continuing to perform her own music alongside works from the established piano repertoire.
