ALICE DE CASTRO (c. 1840–c. 1900) was a Brazilian pianist and composer associated with Rio de Janeiro. Very little biographical information about her life and musical training has survived. She is known as the composer of Jó-Jó Carlinhos, a habanera that reportedly achieved some success in nineteenth-century Brazil. No other compositions have been identified, and the score of Jó-Jó Carlinhos is not currently held in the archive of the Instituto Casa do Choro.
