Notes:

British double bassist, vocalist, composer-improviser, and multidisciplinary artist based in Leeds. Her work centres on free improvisation as a form of embodied or somatic ritual, combining contemporary classical and jazz influences with punk energy, noise, extended double-bass techniques, spoken text, and experimental vocal sounds. Much of her music is created collaboratively and spontaneously rather than as conventionally notated compositions. Casling performs as a soloist and in numerous duos and ensembles, including a trumpet-and-double-bass duo with Sam Spencer, the improvising large ensemble ONe_Orchestra New, and the punk group Bela Spit. She has also collaborated with cellist Gaia Blandina and participated in experimental projects such as Cybernetic Forest II and A Creation for York. No reliable published information about her year of birth has been located.
