American composer based in Naples, Florida. She writes in a broad range of contemporary classical genres, including orchestral, chamber, choral, vocal, piano, and sacred music. Her vocal writing frequently combines solo voices with small instrumental ensembles.
Her compositions include the chamber opera Pilate’s Wife; Seven: A Suite for Orchestra; Conflict and Resolution for string orchestra; Gli intrighi d’amore for woodwind quintet and narrator; The Musicians of Bremen; O Death, Rock Me Asleep for soprano and violin; Bird Raptures for soprano and flute; Three Moods for horn and piano; and the song cycle Seven Signs. Her album Yet I Will Rejoice contains choral and vocal chamber works. Casey’s compositions have been performed in the United States, England, China, Slovakia, and Spain.
