CASA, Daniela

Italian composer, singer, songwriter and electronic musician, born and died in Rome. She studied singing and guitar and began her career as a popular singer during the 1960s. Casa later concentrated on composition and became an important figure in Italian library and production music. Working in her own studio, she experimented with synthesisers and combined electronic music, psychedelic pop, jazz, ambient music and experimental minimalism. Her albums include Società malata (1975), Ricordi d’infanzia (1975) and Arte moderna. She also worked under the pseudonym Elageron.
