CARRANZA, Ofelia Noemi

Ofelia Noemí Carranza is an Argentine composer associated with electroacoustic music. She was born in Córdoba, Argentina. Although some databases give 1952 as her year of birth, the catalogue of Spain’s Centro de Documentación de las Artes Escénicas y de la Música records 1953, which is also supported by research on Latin American electroacoustic music.
Her documented composition Renacer was created in 1994 for magnetic tape. The work was released in 1995 on the collection Panorama de la Música Argentina: Compositores Nacidos Entre 1944–1953. It lasts approximately six minutes.
