CAROLINE, Comtesse De Saint-Didier

Caroline, Comtesse de Saint-Didier, was a French composer active during the early nineteenth century. Very little biographical information about her has survived, and her full name.
A collection of her music, Recueil de musique par la Comtesse Caroline de St. Didier, was published around 1820. It contains songs for one or two voices with piano accompaniment. The surviving titles include Le Vallon, Le Serment, Le Souvenir, À Marie Stuart lors de sa captivité, À la France, Conseils à Laure, La douce vengeance, Puis-je espérer and Rien plus me duit. Available sources do not provide sufficient information for a more detailed account of her life and musical career.
