CAMPOS, Moema Craveiro

Awarded at the First National Contemporary Music Competition for Brazilian Women Composers in 1992, with singer Wilzy Carioca performing her composition "Ponto de Fuga," with a poem by Lena Ponte, for which she received a scholarship to study in Germany from the Goethe Institut. Using poems by Cora Coralina, she composed the song cycle "Cantando Cora" for sisters Stela and Rosa Brandão, which premiered in August 2002 at the "Belgium-Brazil Friendship" recital, sponsored by the Belgian Embassy. She also composed a piece based on Cecília Meirelles' poem "Canção dos Três Barcos" (Song of the Three Boats), written exclusively for a recital on Brazilian song in Belgium.
