CAIRE, Perraud de, Mme

Mme Perraud de Caire was a French composer active in the nineteenth century. Very little biographical information about her is currently available, but she is documented through at least one surviving piano work, Rêverie du soir: nocturne, Op. 28. The piece was published in Paris by Petit Ainé around 1867 and is preserved in the Women Composers Collection.

Her surviving work places her within the Romantic tradition of nineteenth-century piano salon music. Rêverie du soir is a short nocturne for solo piano, reflecting the intimate domestic and concert repertoire in which many women composers of the period were active. Although her broader biography and catalogue remain unclear, this published composition confirms her activity as a composer of piano music.
