Juliana Murillo Caballero, known professionally as July Murillo, is a Spanish composer, songwriter and music professional born in Madrid in 1947. She studied at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid, where she trained in piano, composition, elementary guitar and musicology. In 1969 she joined Televisión Española, where she worked for almost four decades in musical editing and musical setting, and also as a composer, lyricist, script adapter and dubbing director. She later served as Head of Musical Setting and as a musical adviser for TVE’s design department.

Murillo became especially associated with music for Spanish television and children’s programming. Her work includes songs, jingles and theme music for programmes such as Barrio Sésamo, Los mundos de Yupi, La cometa blanca and other TVE productions. Cadena SER describes her as the creator of many melodies linked to Spanish children’s television and notes that she composed melodies and arrangements for 38 years. Her output is reported to include more than 1,700 registered pieces, especially music for television logos, programme themes, TV songs, children’s songs, theatre and café-theatre.
