The pianist and composer Alice Borton studied piano and composition at the Royal Academy of Music from approximately 1873 to 1881, receiving numerous awards and scholarships during her studies. In April 1881, her *Andante and Rondo* for piano and orchestra was performed at St. James’s Hall in London. Her works—published by London firms such as Ashdown, Chappell, Novello, and Boosey—include numerous songs, several piano pieces, and various choral works, some of which are sacred in nature.
