Dolores Sendra Bordes was a composer , pianist , musicologist and soprano from Alicante. She was prominent in the research on traditional Valencian music in the 1950s and 60s. She studied at the Conservatory of Music and Declamation in Valencia until 1947 and subsequently became one of the first women to conduct a brass band in Pego, her hometown. In 1949, she composed the town's anthem with lyrics by Carmel Giner.
