Constanza Bizraelli is a Peruvian composer, songwriter, producer, sound artist, and researcher. She releases music under the alias CAO on labels including Opal Tapes, Club Chai, and Seagrave. Her work explores "ecstatic liminal spaces," blending ritual, myth, and electronic music. Bizraelli's sound incorporates Latin-American rhythmic experimentation, tropical warmth, noise, and industrial ambiences, creating immersive experiences that combine ancestral themes with futuristic visions. She utilizes analogue synths, digital techniques, and vocal experiments.
As a sound artist, Bizraelli researches spacetime and presence through spatial sound technologies, science, philosophy, and cultural astronomy. Her project "Auralisms: The Relativity of Acoustic Presence" investigated presence through spatial sound, Vedic spirituality, and General Relativity. Bizraelli also founded Cyclops Journal, a publication for experimental theory. She was a resident at NTS Radio and an alumna of the Red Bull Music Academy. Her work has been exhibited internationally at festivals and institutions such as Sonar Reykjavik, Rewire Festival, Tate Modern, and the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art.
