Kristine Bernabe is a second-generation Vietnamese-American film composer and music producer. Born and raised in Los Angeles County, she specializes in electronic and orchestral music written for visual media. She works extensively across indie dramas, animation, television, and games. Bernabe grew up in California. She completed her undergraduate requirements at the University of California, Irvine, around 2010–2011, studying literary journalism. Her primary instruments are piano and guitar. She holds a Master's degree from the prestigious Screen Scoring program at New York University (NYU). During her studies, she recorded original pieces with live remote orchestras, including the Budapest Symphony Orchestra. Bernabe’s compositions frequently mix traditional orchestral arrangements with electronic production and experimental synthesized elements. Creatively, she prioritizes narrative-driven scores that capture complex emotional nuances and elevate perspectives from underrepresented groups.
