Angela Berann (also known as Angela Adebiyi-Berann) is an Austrian drummer, percussionist, composer, and visual artist. She is renowned for her versatile rhythm-driven world music and her unique contributions to percussion ensembles. Born into an artistic family, she studied painting, nude drawing, and graphics under her father, the famous Austrian painter and cartographer Heinrich C. Berann. Her formal musical training was extensive: classical percussion at the Tiroler Landeskonservatorium in Innsbruck, jazz drumming & percussion at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna, as well as under Erich Bachträgl in Munich and global afro-latin percussion.

As a composer, Berann focuses on the primacy of pulse, texture, and experimental global rhythms. Her most prominent solo release is the highly-reviewed album Groovy Womann. The record is celebrated as an engaging cornucopia of upbeat, eclectic percussion styles, highlighting compositions.
