Ylva Nyberg Bentancor is a prominent Swedish composer and sound artist known for her work in contemporary classical music, interdisciplinary projects, and sound installations. Bentancor pursued her formal musical education at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where she completed her diploma in composition between 1992 and 2000. Throughout her career, she has integrated traditional instrumentation with modern acoustic and electronic soundscapes. Bentancor co-founded the digital music publication Nätmagasinet Tritonus. Alongside fellow composers Martin Q Larsson and Mattias Petersson, as well as music writer Andreas Engström, she took over the editorship of the prominent contemporary music journal Nutida Musik (Contemporary Music) from 2001 to 2005.
