BELL, Rachel

Rachel Bell is a performer, tunesmith, and educator based in Brattleboro, Vermont. Her musical inspiration draws from Celtic, French, English, and Quebecois traditions, which she uses to create new material while respecting historical melodies. Bell tours extensively across North America and internationally, performing at concerts, contra dances, BalFolk, English country dances, workshops, and festivals.

She actively collaborates with several bands, including Eloise & Co., Peregrine Road, Alchemy, Andromeda, and Constellation. Bell's accordion playing is noted for its wide emotional range, from subtle to powerful. As an educator, she offers individual lessons and group workshops for both children and adults. Bell also has a background as a classical pianist and has explored playing the bagpipes.
