BEERS, Jean

Jean Beers is a British-German concert pianist, composer, and professor. She is known for questioning and removing boundaries in her artistic work. Beers has performed internationally at prominent venues such as the Konzerthaus Berlin and the Southbank Centre London, and has received numerous international prizes for her piano playing, including the Mozarteum Prize from the city of Salzburg.

Her compositions have also garnered recognition, with works performed by ensembles including the Philharmonia Orchestra and the London Sinfonietta. Beers holds a PhD in composition from King's College London, published as the book "Creating Ambiguity in Music." She is currently a professor and head of the Institute for Keyboard, Composition, and Conducting at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK).
