Karolyn Wells Bassett was an American composer and coloratura soprano. She was born August 2, 1892 in Derby and died on June 8, 1931 at Briarcliff Manor. She studied piano and singing at Felton School New York, with Carl and Reinhold Faelton ; harmony in Berlin with Theodore Holland and Constance Mills, singing with Jeanne Faure, Theo van Yorx and Bryceson Treharne
