Katharine Barry was an English composer and singer active during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Barry primarily found success in the British "ballad market," writing romantic, expressive parlor songs designed for voice and piano. Not only were her works regularly featured at prestigious events like the BBC Proms during the early 1900s, she was also an accomplished soprano who performed at the London Ballad Concerts.
