Eva Barath was born in Stuttgart in 1961 and lives in Kempten and Neuss.

After studying recorders at the Musikhochschule in Düsseldorf, she studied composition with Prof. Lehmann in Zurich and with Prof. Rosing-Schow at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen (Solist Dipolm).
