Cathy S. Balshone is a pianist, librarian,opera composer, and teacher. She got her 1968 BA in composition with Meyer Kupferman at Sarah Lawrence College in 1968, MS from the School of Library Service, Columbia University, 1980 certified music kindergarten method with Minnetta Kessler at the Longy School of Music, 1970-1977. She was a librarian at Fort Lauderdale Public Library, 1977-1983 at Boston Conservatory, 1983 at Morse Music Library Howard University, and 1993 at Newton Public Library Massachusetts.
