BAILIN, Harriett

Harriett Bailin was a jewish songwriter, studied at the University of Connecticut, Juilliard School New York, studied piano privately with Mrs. Louis Lovens and Adelaide Ziglar Cohan of Bridgeport and Irene Kahn of the Julius Hartt School of Music, composition with Sam Morganstern, 1951-1953 resident in Chicopee Massachusetts, 1953-1972 resident in Westport active in Norwalk Connecticut, 1990 in New York. HARRIETT BAILIN - wrote the score for “Carricknabauna”, PADRAIC COLUM’s folk play with music which opened at the Greenwich Mews Theatre in New York on March 30th.
