AUGUSTINOVA, Michaela

Michaela Augustinová is a Czech composer and pianist. She belongs to the young generation of contemporary Czech composers who successfully combine performing and composing activities.
Her significant compositions include the cycle of piano etudes Escape from the Chimera , Dance Series for Piano containing eight character dances from the Sarabande to the Paso Doble, and Sonata for Piano No. 1 "Psalm 27" . Among the orchestral works, she created the Concerto for Piano and Orchestra "Labyrinth of the World" and Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 2 "New Jerusalem" , which works with the forms of Hebrew cantillation.
