Victoria Arago, pen name of Victorine Pleux-Arago, was a French pianist and composer who was very fashionable at the end of the July Monarchy. Around 1840, Victoria began to compose romantic tunes whose scores became fashionable in the bourgeois salons of Paris where they were played on the piano and sung by the lady of the house, her daughters or her friends.
