Mrs John Holman Andrews, born Jenny Constant, was a teacher of singing and a composer. She resided in London as a teacher and died there April 29, 1878. She was the mother of soprano Gerturde Cave Ashton. Her published works included, Two part
exercises (for the voice) and songs including Adieu, Autumn's golden leaf, Go lovely Rose, and Prince Charley's farewell to Scotland.
