Vera de Andrade is a guitarist, composer, and arranger whose recent work focuses on music for solo classical guitar, drawing on Brazilian musical traditions. Her award-winning composition Chororô, winner of the 2022 Cordas ao Vento Composition Competition, has become one of her best-known works and has been performed and recorded by leading guitarists. Her music has also been featured on recordings including Meridians – Guitar Music from Six Continents and the EP Luas.
