Notes:

Edith Alonso Sánchez is a composer, improviser, and sound artist from Madrid. Following a period in Paris where she encountered musique concrète through Pierre Schaeffer's successors, François Bayle and Pierre Henry, Alonso began exploring new sonic experimentation. Her work focuses on electroacoustic music and radio art, often collaborating with other artists to blur disciplinary boundaries.

Alonso's innovative approach to sound utilizes a diverse range of instruments and techniques, including prepared piano, analog and digital synthesizers, laptops, circuit-bending, acousmatic music, and live electronics. Her artistic foundation lies in the physical transformation of sound and its impact on our perception of reality. While she appreciates urban soundscapes, Alonso also seeks the quietude of desert regions in Aragón.
