Elfi Aichinger is a vocalist, composer, and educator. She received classical training in piano and voice at music universities in Vienna and Salzburg. Her work encompasses vocal performances, compositions, and teaching.
Aichinger's compositions include pieces such as "Gott nahe zu sein ist mein Glück," "Langsam wie ein Planet," and "Zum Sterben bin ich viel zu jung." Her album "CORE II" was released in May 2025 and has been nominated for the "Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik." She has also created a vocal quartet setting of Ingeborg Bachmann's work, titled "ICH." In 2024, she received the Great Culture Prize of Upper Austria in the Music category. Aichinger has also composed a commissioned work for the Janus Ensemble, titled "Dich muss ich sehen Lyrische Suite in 4 Sätzen."
