Lucía Jiménez Acevedo was the winner of the Solistico de Santiago Young Composers Competition 2016 and 2018. She studied music at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso before moving to Spain, where she pursued advanced studies at the Conservatorio del Liceo de Barcelona. She is also a piano teacher, like at the Escola Farré, alongside her work as a composer.
