Joy Milane Ace was an American lyricist, writer, and lecturer. She studied at McGill University. Born in Helena, Montana, she was lyricist for Theodore Kolline in Los Angeles in 1948, and resided in San Diego 1953-1983. She served as president of the Los Angeles chapter of the Beethoven Society of America
She professionally used the name Joy Milane, and from 1960-1966 used her married name, Joy Milane Burns. Starting 1975 she returned to her maiden name.
