Notes:   Soprano and composer specialising in performances of George Frideric Handel's work on the London concert scene in 1780s. Her family were of Jewish ancestry and were all deeply musical. Abrams studied performance and composition with Thomas Arne. Her most popular compositions were 'The Orphan's Prayer' and 'Crazy Jane'. She also published Italian and English canzonets, a collection of Scottish songs and glees, collections of songs, and individual ballads.
