Nina Siniakova is a musician of a diverse cultural background and broad interests. Her music explores eternal subjects of beauty, love, life, and death. Her colleagues describe her style as “unique and refined” (Mark Hagerty) , that in their option makes Nina Siniakova “one of the most interesting composers of her generation” (Krzysztof Meyer). Her interests in musical genres span music written in contemporary classical style to minimalism, jazz, easy listening, and music for children. Being a professional pianist, she enjoys performing music spanning styles from Medieval to contemporary. Nina Siniakova is a winner of several awards, including Andrey Petrov Orchestral Music competition in St-Petersburg, Russia (for her Concerto for Two Violins and Orchestra), Melodia Women’s Choir NYC commission competition (for her “From the Four Winds” for women’s choir and four French horns), Exploring the Metropolis program in NYC and numerous Call-For-Scores. She is a recipient of several special stipends and scholarships, including Stipend of The Industrial Building Bank St. Petersburg (as one of the best conservatory’s students), Grant of the St. Petersburg government “Muses of St. Petersburg” and a Stipend of DAAD (German Foreign Exchange Service).
