Two sacred compositions of her are known: Vattene pur, lasciva orechia humana and Occhi io vissi di voi (for soprano and basso continuo ) included in the 1613 anthology Canoro pianto di Maria Vergine , a collection of madrigals "with a voice to sing in guitarone or other similar instruments "composed by various authors on poems of spiritual subject. La Sessa is the only female composer of the book.
