E. Nazirova was a distinguished Azerbaijani composer and professor. She is the author of a number of works, including an overture for symphony orchestra, three concerts for piano and orchestra, preludes and variations for piano, sonatas for violin, cello and piano, works on Azerbaijani folk songs and romances
