COOPER, Julie
  Julie Cooper is an award-winning Welsh composer whose music is broadcast extensively on Film, Television and all visual media worldwide. She has scored multiple cinematic orchestral and chamber albums featured on television drama, wildlife documentaries, film and advertising.
Known for her evocative, eclectic scores and versatility as an orchestrator, she has created soundtracks for numerous theatre and BBC Radio Drama productions.
Her concert works have been performed at many large-scale and intimate concert venues including St.Martin-in-the-Fields, New York’s Weill Recital Hall, the Royal Albert Hall and various UK and international music festivals.
Her soundscape for piano, ‘Galilean Moons’ commissioned and performed by the inspirational left hand alone concert pianist Nicholas McCarthy, is featured in the ‘Royal Albert Home’ sessions, an online concert series from artists' homes created whilst the Hall has been shut during the coronavirus pandemic.
Her latest album CONTINUUM was released by Signum Classics in 2022, featuring Adjoa Andoh, Grace Davidson, Elena Urioste, Nicholas McCarthy and conducted by Jessica Cottis.
